Storybook Best USB Practices

1. Organize and Sort

Before transferring your photos to the USB, organize them into folders or categories based on events, dates, or themes. This will make it easier to locate specific photos later.

2. Back Up Photos

Ensure that all the photos you want to transfer are backed up to your cloud storage service (e.g., Google Drive or iCloud). This step is important to prevent data loss.

3. Connect USB

Insert the USB drive into an available USB port on your computer.

4. Transfer from the Cloud

Download the photos from your cloud storage onto your computer's local storage. This typically involves selecting the images or videos and downloading them to a specific folder on your computer.

5. Transfer from Phone

Connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable. Access your phone's storage from your computer and copy the desired photos to a folder on your computer.

6. Organize on Computer

Create folders on your computer that best describe the pictures and videos. For example, title the folder "Christmas 2022" and not just "Christmas."

7. Copy to USB

Open the USB drive on your computer and copy the folders containing your photos to the USB drive. You can drag and drop the folders or use the copy-paste function.

8. Safely Eject USB

Once the transfer is complete, safely eject the USB drive from your computer. This helps prevent data corruption.
