I’m kind of crying as I type this because this is one of the most beautiful things I ever got to review. Recently I had to give up my pet chickens (4 beautiful babies) when someone reported them to animal control. For the past two weeks I have been collecting their feathers from the yard and I didn’t know what to do with the feathers until I saw this box.

Ever since I have gotten my pet chickens I went on one of my favorite journeys in life as they showed me how much love I had in me to give. When I got this box I uploaded all of their videos into the flash drive and stored their feathers in the empty compartment. I’m going to find more things to put in the box, but for now I’m storing their feathers. I’m going to hide this away and bring it out whenever I miss them.

I think this is such a sweet and sentimental idea that every person should have. Whether you’re going on a trip, or it’s last year or high school/college, or simply one year of life where you had an adventure. Having a physical box where you can store photos AND little reminders like feathers (in my case), or tickets, or rocks or whatever you can think of.

I also think this would make a beautiful gift, even though I am using it for myself. 10000% recommend this product.

This keepsake box is quite cute, and I thought it would be perfect for storing photos, ticket stubs, postcards, and small knickknacks from my upcoming honeymoon!

Facebook and social media are great, but the digital age requires us to keep thumb drives to protect our precious photos (discs are becoming a thing of the past, and physical photo albums have basically been phased out). I love how inclusive this package is and the fact that you have everything you need to organize your collection of memories and keep it safe and sound. The 16GB thumb drive offers a decent amount of storage (equivalent to several thousand high-quality photos or a couple of hours of 1080p HD video, roughly), so I’m confident it could hold several separate moments in their entirety.

While I appreciate the log on the back of the cover, I’m not sure I’ll use the “adventure log” that came with the set. I really don’t like that there aren’t any lined pages in the book, and I have a habit of writing at an angle (even when I consciously try to avoid it). Not everyone will mind the lack of lines, but I do, and thought it was worth mentioning.

Additionally, I wish the keepsake box were deeper, so I could store larger, lightweight mementos. As it stands, I’ll have to stick to stickers, postcards, and magnets (and be careful about how many of each I buy for the box). My fiancé and I plan on visiting several places on our honeymoon, so I’ll have to be mindful not to overbuy mementos from each location due to the limited space.

All in all, I think this is a decent purchase for $30 (the current price point). This isn’t something I’d buy continually, but for extra special occasions like a honeymoon, family road trip, birthdays, etc., I think this is a good, space-saving alternative that will also keep your memories safe!

Also, as a heads-up, if you have this box already, plan on getting it, or have it on the way, make sure to save the white “Story Book” sleeve that came with it (if you want to keep the box closed without laying it down flat). Without this sleeve, items tend to fall out, and the cover won’t stay closed.

It is very pretty and has a nice linen-type fabric finish. It feels sturdy. The small notebook is unlined and perfect to fit in a pocket, travel bag, suitcase, or purse. I like the overall idea, and I'll be using it plenty in the next year. The only thing I didn't love was that there wasn't a ribbon built-in to keep it shut, or something to wrap around it. It does come with a piece of cardboard, but that seems more like packaging material than something permanent to use again and again. It's great to add to a scrapbook collection and have sitting on a coffee table or table dedicated to your adventures. I like that idea better than being up on a shelf so that it can be leafed through more easily. It's a bit like an on-going time capsule that you can stop and open up any time you'd like to reminisce about past adventures and get inspiration for planning new ones. I like that the instructions are easy to read and include ideas on what to write about, how to use the USB drive, and ideas of what to keep in the box (ticket stubs, keychain, postcards, a bottle of sand or a shell, etc.). It's good for things that, unless you're an avid scrapbooker, would probably get lost, broken, or trashed otherwise, but are still fun keepsakes. They are things that you can take pictures of to post on Instagram or Facebook, but it's not like having the real thing, and there's no way to store it there truly. And, if you do decide to take up scrapbooking later, you'll have a lot of items to make it 3D and really give you a good starting point/outline for an adventure scrapbook! Keeping track in the front of the book of each trip on the lines provided is nice because it gives a quick overview of the trips that you've put in the box and notebook. This could also be a good start of another gift like a travel map for your significant other or travel buddy. It can also keep shelves from getting too full with tiny mementos, and ensure their safety. I think it's a good idea overall, and the make of this product is good quality. Great gift for a traveler!
